Musculoskeletal Injury
Prevention and Management Process
 |
We asked the
KYEL Group
to help us implement an injury prevention and management process in
2005. The effects have been overwhelming! Our recordable incident rate
(RIR) decreased from 3.68 in 2004 to an overall RIR of 1.71 for 2005.
We have no doubts that this process had a large part to do with that
significant reduction. Not to mention, their staff is always willing to
help us in any way they can.

Safety Manager, BBA Fiberweb - Bethune Plant |
A few lost work days from an
injury may not seem like much to most people. But the potential and real
financial costs associated with lost time and injury claims can be
staggering. The U. S. Department of Labor claims that workplace injuries
cost industry between $13 and $20 million a year.
Implementing Injury
Prevention and Management programs and services immediately reduces indemnity
payments and case reserves of a claim.
With lower claims costs,
the loss ratio of their business is lowered, making our customers more
attractive to the insurance marketplace.
Our work injury program
will help you get a handle on these real problems by resolving them quickly and
without lost work time in most cases.

Our musculoskeletal Injury
Prevention and Management Process is a new concept in creating a workforce
that takes control of their health and work/home habits. This
comprehensive initiative puts the power in your hands to improve your bottom
line by empowering your employees through onsite, personal evaluation,
treatment, training and follow-up.
It has been estimated that the
"people portion" of the burden rate at most companies represents over
75% of their expenses. Doesn't it make sense to assure these costs are
minimized?
Our comprehensive, hands-on injury
prevention programs improve employee health, boost the quality of work and
improve the bottom line. We
encourage and enable employees to
report aches and pains early so they remain easily treatable, non recordable and
so they don't progress to a full blown injury, thus saving money.
